Designing a National Voice: Visual Identity and Digital Platform for a Nationwide Initiative Advocating for Britain’s High Streets.

The Brief

High Streets UK is a nationwide campaign championing the regeneration of major city centre high streets across the UK.

Commissioned by New West End Company, we were tasked with creating a distinctive visual identity and online presence that would establish the initiative as a credible policy voice, reflect its national ambition, and foster shared ownership—while remaining institutional, not commercial, in tone.

The Process

The project began with a branding questionnaire and an interactive workshop with the client’s team to define the campaign’s strategic priorities, uncovering its personality and tone through a natural, idea-driven exchange.

Building on this and further research, we developed a creative direction rooted in the concept of ‘Junctions’—the points where streets, people, economies, and identities converge.

The Outcome

The outcome is a strategic yet accessible brand identity that strengthens High Streets UK’s credibility with both policymakers and business stakeholders, supporting ongoing forums and national campaigns on safety, taxation, and tourism.

Carmen’s approach was meticulous, and we could not be happier with the brand she has created to represent High Streets UK – an ambitious, pro-growth partnership of business representatives from flagship high streets across the UK. Through rigorous (but highly enjoyable!) workshops, she was able to get to the core of the initiative, and hone exactly how we wanted the brand to show up in the world.
